All of our Guided Tours are suitable for beginners as well as advanced Paddlers. If you have never paddled before, we recommend that you show up about 15 minutes before the scheduled departure of the tour, so that we can give you a quick lesson and get you comfortable with the Kayak or SUP before we get going. One of our registered Maine Guides will be able to help you with any questions or problems you may have along the way as well.
Most of our guided kayak tours are 2 1/2 to 3 hours (except where
noted otherwise), and SUP tours are 1 1/2 hours in length, and cost
$50 per person. Group rates available for parties of 6 or more.
Why go on a tour instead of just renting? Well there's a few reasons.
There is the comfort factor.....All our kayak tours are led by registered Maine Guides, who go through rigorous training and testing to achieve that status, are certified in First Aid and CPR, and are very familiar with the local waters. They will be able to offer assistance in technique and answer any questions you might have along the way.
There's also the entertainment factor......our guides will give you insight, stories and local lore of the areas you're paddling, as well as identifying wildlife and points of interest. If you want to save a little time, click here to print our waiver, fill it out, and bring it with you.

KAYAK TOURS
DAYTIME TOURS
Our Daytime Tours take place at different locations. We have Tours of the Mousam River, the coastline to Cape Porpoise, Cape Porpoise Harbor, Goose Rocks Beach, Parsons Beach, and many more. These are mostly 3 hour tours, but can be adjusted as needed to be longer or shorter.
SUNSET TOURS
These Tours are 3 Hours in length and begin about 2 1/2 hours before sunset. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife with some local lore among the mix, and round out the evening with a gorgeous Maine Sunset. We arrive back just as darkness falls.
FULL MOON TOURS
These tours take place as the name implies around the full moon. We depart about 1 hour before sunset and enjoy a little daylight followed by the beautiful sunset. When day turns to night a whole new world opens up to you. This might just be the most peaceful and tranquil time you will ever experience.
SUP TOURS
EARLY BIRD TOUR
This Tour departs daily at different locations, depending on tides and weather. We launch at 6:30am, just around sunrise, and paddle the calm waters as the birds, seals, and Lobstermen begin their day. We arrive back at the launch around 8:00am, with plenty of time in the day for other fun activities.
DAYTIME TOUR
Our Daytime Tours take place at different locations. We have Tours of the Mousam River, Cape Porpoise Harbor, Goose Rocks Beach, Parsons Beach, and many more. We generally see a variety of birds, some seals, and other cool underwater sights.
SUNSET TOUR
We depart about 1 1/2 hours before sunset. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife with some local lore among the mix, and round out the evening with a gorgeous Maine Sunset. We arrive back just as darkness falls.
SUP PILATES
Join us for one of our 1 hour SUP Pilates sessions. Cost for this is $40 per person, or $25 if you bring your own board. Locations and times vary based on tides.

IMPORTANT: CANCELLATION POLICY
We have a 5 day cancellation policy for guided tours. This means that you can cancel a reservation with more than 5 days notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 5 days notice will be charged a deposit of 50% of the tour fee.
Additionally, cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full amount of the tour. The only exception to this policy is if we have to cancel due to weather. Weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of Kayak Excursions and its guides.
